Medilink West Midlands is a limited company by guarantee, registered not-for-profit. It has three primary areas of business: managing public sector contracts, R&D for new markets, and a membership service.

Since 2003, Medilink West Midlands has been a regional leader in developing business networks for medical and healthcare companies, resulting in commercial ventures and business growth. Its advance knowledge of academic and private research, clinical developments and industrial opportunities has encouraged new revenue streams, new products and diversification from other industries.

It has worked with members to increase their viability in the market and grow their medical business through technology and knowledge transfer from Universities and the NHS - and achieves this by bridging the gap between those who innovate and those who manufacture.

Medilink West Midlands Ltd will increase its activity influencing and guiding public sector initiatives at regional and national level for the benefit of companies, and continue its R&D work identifying potential markets for development and new product commercialisation.

Due to changes in national and regional funding to support business, Medilink West Midlands launched its member service as a separate company in April 2008.
